Now that Rio de Janeiro has passed the Olympic Flame to 2020 Games host Tokyo, athletes, coaches and fans can return home to celebrate the completion of this four-year trek. And as Brazil begins cleaning up the party, the lawyers are just getting started.

I joined MSNBC the morning after the Closing Ceremony to discuss the marketing and financial fallout from Ryan Lochte’s over-exaggerated robbery claims, a flawed account that dominated global headlines for most of the two-week Games.

My commentary on this story came to a close on this week’s Business of Sports podcast. Going solo this week, I wrapped up my thoughts on Lochte and his USA Swimming teammates’ antics, and shifted the conversation back to football with rants on the latest NFL controversies: New York Giants kicker Josh Brown’s one-game suspension and the player interviews resulting from the December 2015 Al-Jazeera PED report.
